If you attend in person we will have bagels and coffee (and more) for you.  If you want to sign up virtually, please sign-up under virtual and bring your own coffee and bagels.

Body shaming is known as the action or practice of expressing humiliation about another individual’s body shape or size; a form of bullying that can result in severe emotional trauma, especially at a young age.  Body shaming is a growing epidemic, rising to a fevered pitch in recent years alongside social media. 
 

Body shaming can come about in many ways:

• Criticizing your own appearance, through a judgment or comparison to another person.
• Criticizing another’s appearance in front of them
• Criticizing another’s appearance without their knowledge.

Although body shaming is usually associated with fat shaming, people of all sizes and shapes can bear the brunt of this cruelty.

Let's have a discussion on brining people together and have everyone realize that fat, tall, short, or thin are not insults but just characteristics. A number on a scale doesn't determine one's worth.

Rapidly grow your network and make connections with 60-Second Networking!

The Delaware Small Business Chamber’s 60-Second Networking event allows small business to connect in multiple ways. The event itself, not unlike speed dating, rotates members through, with each pair being given 60 seconds for their “elevator pitch.” By the end, each person will have talked to up to 23 other business people.
